2008 4 Cylinder Stock Rules
These rules are posted here as conveyance only, Not
responsible for any type Os or other copying mistakes.
Call the track office at 607-657-8222 or ask at the track for a official printed
copy.
Any 4 cylinder sedan, subcompact. or compact two door cars. No pickup trucks.
No two seat sports cars and no four wheel drive cars.
All cars must weigh 2300
pounds after the feature. Make sure you read all safety and procedural rules,
they do apply to you.
CHASSIS AND DODY
1. Stock original unibody with full floor and fire walls, can be tied together
with minimum 1 1/2' .120 wall round or square tube, Must have complete safe 6
point roll cage with all of driver's area padded, with three door bars on
driver's door and two door bars on passenger side. Complete stock appearing body
made of steel or aluminum, must have stock steel roof, front and rear of car
must be covered to look stock,
2, All glass must be removed and a screen placed In the windshield area. Battery
must be place In engine compartment In a safe manner.
3. Aluminum racing seat is mandatory and must be securely fastened, Must have 5
point racing seat belt harness, securely fastened with bolts.
4. Fuel cell mounted In trunk in a safe manner. Must have firewall between
driver's compartment and trunk area. Must have access to fuel cell to be checked
by safety inspector. Fuel cell Is mandatory.
5. Side nerfs may not exceed one, 1 1/2 diameter tube, must be tight to the
body, All bars must be 18" center from the ground with rounded ends. Front
and rear bumpers must remain stock fu that car, with no reinforcement, with
bumper height of 18"
SUSPENSION AND WHEELS
1. Street DOT tires may be used with 8" tread width maximum. 8"
Racing recaps, So American Racers or
S" Hoosiers may be used. Grooving of tires Is permitted. No wheel plugs,
covers, or inserts. Wheels can be 13" or 14" steel wheel only with any
offset, with 7" maximum width.
2. All stock components on suspension. Must have stock location for all springs
and shocks. Can use racing springs and shocks. Must have stock bushings on all
stock control arms.
Brakes must be in good working order. May lock rearend. May use right front
brake shut off.
ENGINES
1. No rotary motor. No 2500cc truck motors, May be bored up to .060 over on
cylinders.
2. Can use any camshaft and lifter combination.
3. Must use stock 4412 holley carburetor with up to a I" spacer plate,
Stock fuel Injection allowed on fuel injected cars. Must use stock distributor
for that motor with any coil. MSD boxes allowed.
4. Recommended to use aftermarket steel flywheel, clutch and pressure plate,
bolted to the crankshaft. No aluminum clutches, flywheels or pressure plates.
Stock flywheels can not be lighten due to safety.
5. Can use a conventional type header.
6. Steel drive shaft only, driveshaft must be painted white.
7. Stock transmission, all gears must work, including reverse.
